S. Brent Goodwin, OD
Dr. S. Brent Goodwin has been a licensed optometrist since 1980. He graduated with honors from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, and completed his boards in Oklahoma. He has had the opportunity to practice in a wide variety of environments including rural and metropolitan settings in Oklahoma, the United States Navy, Guam, Germany, Southern Arizona with the Army, Air Force, and Indian Health System as well as Evans Army Hospital in Fort Carson, CO.
In addition to his Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Goodwin gained an MBA from Chapman College in Orange, CA, studied a year of law school through Concord University in Athens, WV, achieved a Masters in Transpersonal psychology from Atlantic University in Virginia Beach, VA, and completed doctorate work in industrial/organizational psychology and neuropsychology at North central University in Scottsdale, AZ.
Dr. Goodwin’s area of expertise includes specialized vision disorders involving perception and their neurological, psychological manifestations and development. He has managed low vision, sports vision and child vision development clinics. He provides expert care for specialized contact lens fittings for people with irregular corneas. Dr. Goodwin likes to take into consideration every patient’s unique daily needs when weighing vision options.
Dr. Goodwin’s hobbies include tennis, photography, tinkering with computers, hiking, kayaking and off-roading.
